Getting ready for Conference..

One week before we get the oppertunity to hear from our beloved Prophet. I can't wait this year for some reason. I want my house clean, and some freezer meals done and I am going to order a pie from Perkins and make sure my phone is turned off.

What are your plans.

I found this really cute idea on a blog called www.andersenseven.typepad.com I plan on makeing several for my sisters I visit and my husbands hometeaching families. He has all widows. It should be fun to put these together.

Please let me know your plans.

Conference Essentials.....

For April's Visiting Teaching Bag Meal, I decided to go with a Conference Theme- Conference Essentials, everything you need to help you enjoy the feast laid before you.
Conferencebag_001
  • regular white lunch bag
  • black and white 1/2 ribbon
  • Salt Lake City art from clipart.com ; I just ran the lunch bag through my printer- one at a time.
  • Items to fill
Conferencebag_002

On this bag I tied the ribbon a little bit differently than I usually do. A slightly stiff ribbon works better. Punch two holes in the center of the bag, one above the other- see picture above. Fold ribbon lengthwise; notch ends. Pull the folded end through the bottom hole, from the front to the back of the bag, then pull it forward through the top hole, creating a loop from the top third of the ribbon. Tie the ends in a square knot.

Let me do the work

This blog has been created by a mom, a grandmother and a friend in hopes to help you as
family get dinner on the table with less work and headache. My daughters asked
if I would do a menu. their children were tired of Subway and McDonalds. Time is precisous and money is tight.
It was a success then they needed a shopping list.
I started out doing it on a calender with a list of reciepes and the shopping list. Friends asked for a copy and then strangers. It got to a point where I needed to find a way to get this information out to more and more. I hope this blog will be the answer. So here we go.
I hope as we go along I will be able to put together a more pleasing blog, so stick with me.

I will try and list a week at a time, till I get better at this, I want to list a menu for five meals. The reciep or the link to, and the shopping list. I hope to be able to find the best deals in my town and throw in a coupon or two link.
